Richard DaLuz is a got damned genius.

Oooh, glowy…

It has long been my desire to make a toaster out of an original Nintendo Entertainment System unit.  Lift the flap, stick in a bagel, get back a golden-browned canvas of cinnamon and raisin with which to paint creamy cheesy art.  And long have friends explained to me that such a device would most likely burn down everything I own.

Richard DaLuz, at stupidfingers.com, has done the exact opposite and put a NES inside of a toaster.  As a fully functional unit, the left slot takes games, the right takes controllers, and the toast lever turns it on and off.  When turned on, the inside glows orange, as if I were about to receive breakfast, rather than 8-bit goodness.  The AC adapter is integrated into the unit, so that the toaster’s regular power-cord does the job.  A/V jacks are also subtly hidden in the rear.

If you’re reading this at post time, the culinary console is up for auction with a day left on eBay.  It’s times like this I wish I had "stupid" money.

A mortifying scene, if taken out of context.

If I’ve held your attention this long, I’d recommend checking out the man’s YouTube page, where you can see his Frankenstein creations in action.

Super Mario 3 in a toaster scares me, especially since I can't find my cart of it.
