Pepsi recently re-released longtime Kenzan favorite Pepsi Twist, but with another new twist… the soda is now NFL branded as Pepsi NFL Kickoff. Picture and review after the cut.

Mmmmm, smells like floor cleaner but tastes like awesome...

I really shouldn’t be drinking sodas, but there is just something about Pepsi Twist that was awesome. Now that Pepsi has re-released it, this time with NFL branding, I am rather ecstatic. I’m not sure why Pepsi seemed to think that football = lemon, but if that means I get more Pepsi Twist to drink, I’m fine with that.

For those worried that the flavor isn’t the same, fear not. If anything, there seems to be more lemon flavor to counteract the watery nastiness that is Pepsi. I’m pretty thrilled with how this turned out, but that "limited edition" sign means that Pepsi Twist fans need to act fast before this stuff disappears off the shelves.

For those of you watching your calories, yes, Diet Pepsi Twist also returned in this deal as "Diet Pepsi NFL Kickoff", so now you can have your lemon flavor and your artificial sweeteners as well. Hopefully, this gives Pepsi the thought to go ahead and bring back Pepsi Holiday Spice once again. I know that I would be thrilled, and also a little more heavier than I normally am.

Overall? I’m pretty satisfied. It’s Pepsi Twist with a new name, so if you didn’t like the original, you should probably avoid it. If you never tried it, well, give it a shot before it disappears.

What are people saying about "Pepsi Rebrands Pepsi Twist As "Pepsi NFL Kickoff""?

if it's not Pepsi Blue, it's SHIT, by god!

Well, or Pepsi Clear, which was like Pepsi Blue, but without the delicious, nutritious Windex.

I miss both, though, alas.

Fucking socio-beverage fascists.

One can never go wrong by changing the color of a beverage.  The advantage to Pepsi Clear was you could change it to whatever color you felt Pepsi should be.  Sure, there are other clear sodas, but they color the bottle, which is a lie.  A got damn lie.

Granted, it's Diet, but here you go!  Just ignore that warning about it not being meant to be consumed, that's for suckers!  Your stomach knows better than some dude selling 18-year-old soda on eBay!
