JAMES BOND

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that James Bond is soley responsible for the freedom of the entire Western World, but he’s probably done most of the legwork. Bond has been behind enemy lines in the wars against Communism and Terrorism, risking life and limb to keep state secrets just that. He has access to all of the wealth of England, their brightest minds, intelligence, and technology. But, when the chips on are on the table (no doubt in a multi-million dollar high stakes poker game), Bond is a modern day Cowboy — guns blazing, enemies being blown to Kingdom Come, and every woman from Moneypenny to Lady Luck herself swooning. What’s not to like?

BATMAN

Maybe not the most flattering representation of the caped crusader, so you’ll have to forgive him (and me — I’m sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking, I beg your forgiveness), but in spite of that, you have to admit that Batman is pretty much the baddest man on the planet. As Bruce Wayne, he has unfettered access to all of the resources at Wayne Enterprises, which has been both a blessing and a curse for him. On one hand, this has allowed him to surround himself with the latest cutting-edge technology, protecting his mortality and keeping his identity secret (it takes a lot to furnish an underground cave, after all.) On the other hand, Bruce Wayne’s immense wealth and popularity make him the target of many of the same people Batman’s trying to get locked away in Arkham. It has to be a tough life.
