Clearly the longest name for a FACEOFF! so far, and also the largest FACEOFF! to date, as we go five against five in a struggle of 1990s titans. Will the ninja teens and their vigilante sports nut be able to take out the pride of Angel Grove and Zordon’s chosen quintet? The tale of the tape is behind the cut!

THE MIGHTY MORPHIN’ POWER RANGERS Many could consider the five to my right to be usurpers to the throne of children’s television action stars, but few realize that they are but a long line of spandex-sporting sentai masters dating back to the early-1970s. With each holding a special weapon and piloting their own giant robot, which can then turn into an even larger robot when the chips are down, the MMPR are quite a formidable foe, even moreso when you factor in the sixth Ranger, Tommy, in either his green or white form. However, for the sake of a five-on-five battle, Tommy must sit on the sidelines! |

THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES & CASEY JONES The face of 1980s cartoon action and the comic-turned toy line-turned TV show that started a craze few kids in those days could contain. The TMNT are dangerous enough as a foursome, with Donatello’s gadgets and their amazing teamwork, but when you factor in Casey Jones, a bat-wielding lunatic, onto the team, you are dealing with a fivesome you might not want to run into in a dark alley, even with an army of foot soldiers. |

Even if the Power Rangers are given there 30 seconds to morph they would be fighting with fucking plastic toys and flashy poses that would prove useless against combined might of the Turtles and Casey Jones. If by some chance the Rangers bring in the Zords for the fight that would be there biggest downfall, they would be in a giant robot looking in a ruined city for 4 trained ninjas and an urban vigilante. By the time they think "Where the hell did they go?" Donatello would have found an Acheillies Heel in the Megazord's mechanical structure and have the other Turtles bring the thing down while Casey bashes in the windshield of the eyes with a baseball bat bring everything back to square one as a toe to toe battle. Keep in mind that as powerful as the Megazord may be, the Green Ranger was able to walk in the back door by himself with the other Rangers sitting there and take it down without much hassle. The Turtles and Casey win. |
