Once upon a time, there was a dude.  This dude kicked much ass.  Known only by his codename, Shatterhand, he taught us that no problem is too large to punch.  A true hero of the NES era.

October 24th, 2007. For me, it was a day that lived in infamy, and not just because it was a week before Halloween and I was looking forward to watching horror movies all day- yes, I do plan for such events AAAAND I’m proud of it; we will fight if we have to. It was a horrible day for one thing and one thing only: my computer died. Kaput, bzzzt, no more. The house also flooded (only in my room, which proves that I have all the luck in the world), but due to the fact that I am a selfish individual only interested in my personal wellbeing, that’s small potatoes- my computer was dead. Everything I worked on recently? Gone. All the ripped CDs and whatnot that Sony tells me are illegal even though they’re mine? Most of them are on my external hard drive, but uh… gone. Could I keep up with the latest adventures of Momotaros in Kamen Rider Den-O? Nope. Go to Youtube? Not even that, amigos.

If you remember reading WrestleRetro #3, you can recall that I used to be, at the tender age of nine, a foolish young lad who thought that World Championship Wrestling was real and the World Wrestling Federation was fake. It even spread over to video games, when I refused to play any WWF games for almost two years because I knew a WCW game was going to be that damn good. I was even more inspired because, in 1989, the first WCW game ever hit the Nintendo Entertainment System and blew away the WWF’s first game, WrestleMania. It was even better than the sequels (WWF WrestleMania Challenge [which was actually kind of okay], WWF WrestleMania Steel Cage Challenge, and WWF King of the Ring)!

Day after day, I ride the bus to work.  It’s a necessary evil.  I don’t live far from work, but too far to walk.  Cars are expensive, and pointless when I live so close to my basic necessities.  I also believe that my attempt at reducing emissions is one tiny step closer to stopping Al Gore from talking.  But no solution is consequence free.  Travel with me to the jungle on wheels.  Crickey!

It’s January 14th, 2008, and I’ve just downloaded Pavlov’s experiment in gaming demos.  Super Mario Fusion for the PC is a homebrew fan game, and I’m here to drop it on you like a hot and steaming Fire Flower.  Let’s begin.

After waiting and waiting, it’s finally here, my XO Laptop from the One Laptop Per Child program.  Have no idea what I’m talking about?  You haven’t been following my posts.  Shame on you!  The skinny, plus I pimp some random software, one click away!

Part of the problem with being a fan of both wrestling and video games is that you have to endure the occasional outright terrible game. From WCW/NWO Thunder for the PlayStation to WWE Raw for the Xbox, there have been a lot of terrible games that have escaped from their manufacturers. Below the cut, I list five games that I, personally, never want to play again and show you exactly why. I made all of these YouTube videos, and after I was done, I had to cry. They are that bad.

It’s that time once again, where I take some game you’ve probably never heard of, and drop the knowledge like it’s hot, most likely on its head, repeatedly, until it can look forward to a lifetime of mental retardation.  Today’s installment is Shadow of the Ninja for the NES, or Blue Shadow, as it is known in Europe, where the word "ninja" used to be the very embodiment of evil and death.  Some of them had porn on basic cable, so it all balances out.  But, I digress, and ramble entirely too much in the intro.  Fire up the content!
