The Wii often gets hassled for being a gimmick controller, and attempting to elevate an otherwise technically inferior system. And while a lot of hype goes into the controller, it may just be more of the future in entertainment than you think, not when you pick it up, but when you put it down.

Back in 2000, the cultural tsunami that was Japanese Anime was swollen and consuming entire coastlines. Shows like Dragonball Z and Pokémon had handed what was formerly a cultish, dungeon-dwelling society over to people who formerly used words like "japanimation" and who, if asked to name one anime, would only be able to give you "Voltron". One such tribute that arose from all of this was the AMV (Anime Music Video), the practice of applying scenes from an anime to a song to make a (surprise) music video.

Oh noes, Axel has been reunited with his old NES and SNES cartridges. Now he’s pulled himself away from a Final Fantasy III binge to present a few of his lesser knowns. Today, it’s Strike Gunner STG for the SNES, an early 16-bit shooter that won’t let go of my heart strings. The review, and my first video clip attempt, down in the meat and potatoes.
