I bet you thought I filed this in the wrong topic, huh?  Nope.

Uwe Boll has announced that he’ll begin filming of BloodRayne 3 next year.

That’s right, enough of you bought the straight-to-DVD release of BloodRayne 2, which placed our half-vampire love smack in the middle of the wild-west, that Boll has decided to do yet another movie, and make a trifecta of failure.  Fan reaction to the 2006 sequel generally came across as "meh, it wasn’t as bad as the first."  Which is sort of like saying "eating raw dog crap isn’t as bad as eating flaming dog crap."

I don’t generally turn a news post into a critique, but we all know that the movie Rayne is not the Rayne we know and love.  What makes BloodRayne?

By lacking these three things, Boll produces the equivalent of a Duke Nukem movie, portrayed as a drama.  So, as a warning, it’s coming again.  If you keep feeding this man’s ego, I will come after you.

Now, I’m off to finally get to watch the Dead or Alive movie, and pray some game-to-movie god out there loves me.  Night’s out.

What are people saying about "BloodRayne 3"?

Re: BloodRayne 3

I must've missed Bloodrayne 2.  Then again, I never saw the original Bloodrayne... I didn't even think the games were worth playing much less seeing movies based on them.

I think the real answer here is simple... someone needs to stop Uwe Boll.

I'll take a third game, but not a third movie.

I saw the first one in theaters and it still burns! I didn't know they made a second one, I guess my brain wouldn't let me register it even if I had heard of it, and now they aim for a Trilogy of Craptaculer Magnitude. One day there will be a good movie of a game and I hope Hitman will answer our prayers.

Re: BloodRayne 3

I just realized I'm partly to blame for this since I own the first film on DVD.  It's a purchase I'm not proud of.  I think my reasoning was that I needed a new film to watch drunkenly and bash since no amount of beer can make Van Helsing fun; apparently I hate that movie so much that alcohol can't save it.

Shows how much I know.

Agreed.

I didn't think another vampire-related movie could best Dracula 2000 in wretchedness. A loud, big-budget turd called Van Helsing showed me that anything is possible.
