Personally, I’ve been playing the series since Fire Pro Wrestling S: Six Men Scramble was released for the Sega Saturn, so I’m looking forward to this a lot. Hooray for not having to get up to check a translation FAQ to create a wrestler!

Robfathah Re: Fire Pro Wrestling Returns coming to North American PS2s! It's about god damn time. SFPW:X is probably still the best non-Aki engine wrestling game I've played, it being brought to the PS2 is long overdue. |

Sasha Kenzan Re: Fire Pro Wrestling Returns coming to North American PS2s! Well, it's been out for the PS2 since 2005, this is the first English port the game has seen since 2002, when Final Fire Pro Wrestling was released as Fire Pro Wrestling 2 for the Game Boy Advance. |

Shastar Re: Fire Pro Wrestling Returns coming to North American PS2s! I saw those and, I must admit, I'm a little ashamed to consider myself part of the Fire Pro fanbase after reading a lot of it. Seems like a lot of negativity and bitching about having to redo their edits. There's also an underlying current of "how dare they release this in the United States!", same as when the GBA games came out. I don't understand why people would be upset about the games being brought here, especially with the thought that it somehow makes the games less special. I hope it sells like crazy-go-nuts and we get a sequel... and maybe, finally, add a season mode? COME ON SPIKE. I hold this akin to in the anime fan world where a popular series gets picked up and the fans are all in an uproar. "Why did ADV/Geneon/Bandai/CPM have to pick this title up? It was great as a fansub! those corporate heartless bastards will ruin everything!" I remember way back in 2000 time frame i read a review someplace about the Fire Pro G game, and the review impressed me so much, I immedeately found the game on E-Bay and ordered it. Spent about $50 for it. And imagine my heartbreak when I get the game, I hook up my roomies modded PS... and the system doesn't work any more! the game floated around my room for almost a year and just before I moved here to Hampton Roads area, I sold it on e-bay, at least I got back my original investment. I'll probalby pick it up when it comes out, and get pwnd. |
